Midwest Disc Golf Courses Starter

This page is a planning aid, not a ranked top-10. We do not invent hole counts, course ratings, or “hidden gem” scores. Use official directories, then confirm on site.

Start with official directories

Resource Use it for
PDGA Course Directory Search by state/city; filter by attributes when available
State & city park sites Hours, fees, parking, seasonal closures
Local clubs / Facebook groups Work days, temp layouts, lost-and-found norms
UDisc Navigation aid—verify against tee signs

State hubs (link out, then verify)

Use PDGA’s directory filtered to each state, plus the state’s tourism or parks search. Examples of official-leaning starting points (not exhaustive course lists):

State Planning starting points
Nebraska PDGA courses in Nebraska (filter NE) · city park pages (e.g., Omaha, Lincoln) for hours
Iowa PDGA filter IA · Iowa DNR / city parks for public land context where courses sit in parks
Kansas PDGA filter KS · municipal park departments for local rules
South Dakota PDGA filter SD · city parks (Sioux Falls, Rapid City, etc.)
Minnesota PDGA filter MN · MN DNR / metro park agencies for park hours
North Dakota PDGA filter ND · municipal parks

Exact URLs for individual courses change—search the park name + disc golf on the city’s site after you pick candidates in PDGA/UDisc.

Trip-planning checklist

  1. Pick a base city and search PDGA within your drive radius.
  2. Note multiple tees and whether the listing looks recently updated.
  3. Check park hours, dog rules, and event closures.
  4. Pack water; Midwest summers and prairie wind are real.
  5. On arrival, follow course map literacy and etiquette.
No fabricated stats. If a blog claims “18 holes, rated 4.9,” verify on PDGA/UDisc/park pages—or leave the number out. We prefer links over invented figures.
